We knew Nikki Reed had a creative side (she’s dabbled in jewelry design and sings with her husband, Paul McDonald), but now she’s bringing her bright ideas to an even bigger audience, thanks to her new partnership with 7 For All Mankind.

The star teamed up with the contemporary clothing line to create a five-piece capsule collection of her Mattlin Era jewels, inspired by 7 For All Mankind’s spring collection. “When they told me the inspiration for the line was love, it was an organic match,” Reed said in a statement. “Once I saw the collection the jewelry was to compliment, it immediately felt like a perfect fit.”

And she’s hitting the road to show off the pieces in person, stopping in Troy, Mi. and Orlando (above) in head to toe 7 For All Mankind to show off the collection in style.

But lest you think Reed just rolls out of bed looking that adorable, the actress exclusively shared with us some photos and behind-the-scenes scoop of her getting-ready routine (below) before her Orlando stop, where she accessorized her cute jeans and zipper blouse with pieces from the 7FAM x Nikki Reed collection, all under $100.

Clockwise from top right, she gives a little peek into how she gets ready far away from L.A. “My make-up artist, Fiona Stiles, always sends me on the road with some great make up tips,” she tells us. “I’m applying a Clinique chubby stick to finish this look off.”

Next up, the finishing touches on her makeup: “A little Dior mascara. Now I’ll just throw on my 7FAM x Nikki Reed ‘Humility’ necklace and ‘Storytelling’ bangles and I’m ready for Orlando.” (Ed. note: We spot the “Humility” earrings as well!)

And finally, because no good outfit is complete without a little flash, Reed slips into some bright pumps. “Love my orange Shoemint heels to pop some color into my 7 For All Mankind look!” she says.

She makes it look so easy! We’ll be trying to pull this off this weekend.

Tell us: What do you think of Reed’s designs for 7 For All Mankind?

4 Moto Jackets Celebs Love (And How to Wear Them!)

Okay, fine, it’s not exactly fall weather yet, but we’re officially over the summer sundresses and on to … moto jackets. Since there are tons of different kinds, we got three members of our Style Council to reveal their favorite ones — then tell us how they like to wear them. Scroll down to get some serious moto inspo.

Zara skirtCourtesy Jamie Chung

Jamie Chung: I love my my faux-snakeskin burgundy Aryn K moto jacket. I’m wearing it with just-weathered skinny jeans, a loose tank and Zara heels. I love this look because it’s simple at first, but then the faux snakeskin jacket really takes it up a notch. I can’t wait to rock this outfit when I’m out with my girlfriends!

Tart wrap dress joyusCourtesy Rachael Taylor

Rachael Taylor: My favorite moto jacket is my Theyskens’ Theory one. I’m wearing it with Levi’s jean shorts, a black top and an Alexander Wang cross-body bag. It’s great because I always try to throw something feminine into the mix when I’m wearing a moto jacket — and the little Peter Pan collar on the shirt adds that softness. This jacket is also great for running around Chicago, where I live. It’ll bring me from day to night: I can explore the city when it’s light out, then hit the amazing bars and galleries in my neighborhood when the sun goes down — all without changing!

Coach bag, Rebecca Minkoff bagCourtesy Nikki Reed

Nikki Reed: My moto jacket is by Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet. I wear it with ripped jean shorts, a flowy scarf and this cowboy hat. I’m obsessed with this jacket because it’s so versatile! I’ve probably worn it 100 times, to 100 different events, with 100 different outfits. I can wear it over a fancy dress for a party, or I can pair it with more casual items for a less-done-up look.

Zara skirtCourtesy Louise Roe

Louise Roe: Ella Moss made my moto jacket, and this is my happy outfit — I’m a big fan of head-to-toe prints! And then, I matched my jacket and shoes to one of the vibrant colors in the print. It’s a simple formula that guarantees an eye-catching look! I think it’s best to wear to a cocktail party or to dinner with friends. That’s because the moto jacket covers up my midriff when I want it to, so I don’t feel too exposed. I could wear it to work, too, but for a meeting, I’d switch out the crop top for a chambray shirt, buttoned up to the top and tucked in.”

Red Carpet Trend Report: The Scoop on Illusion Necklines, Coated Skinnies & the Decline of the Gladiator Sandal

Single-sole pumps, platformsStartraks(2); Wireimage

In our weekly roundup of the looks that are gaining fashion ground (and the ones losing their style street cred), we noticed one dress neckline that’s gaining momentum, a denim style stars are loving for fall and a pair of shoes that needed to end, like last month. (We’re looking at you Kourtney Kardashian!)

Up: Illusion necklines. It’s the original sheer panel with a twist! Designer (and big-time stylesetter) Lauren Conrad tried out the trend wearing an LBD with a chic dotted neckline at a Downy event in N.Y.C.. Drew Barrymore’s Chanel design (worn to the New York City Ballet Opening Gala) also featured a sheer lace neckline. And we’re predicting more stars are going to choose dresses with peekaboo yokes at the Emmys this weekend.

Up: Coated skinnies. First things first: Make sure you pick up our October issue this weekend to check out our 3rd Annual Denim Awards! (Our editors tried on more than 500 pairs of jeans to find the most flattering shapes for all figures.) Next up: You might want to invest in a pair of coated skinnies. They’re huge again for fall (AG Adriano Goldschmied won our award!) and are a dressy alternative to your basic denim bottoms. Plus, Hollywood has already jumped on the trend. Nikki Reed stopped by our Denim Awards party in L.A. wearing a great black pair (going for denim-on-denim action with a jean jacket!), and Hilary Duff sported a pair of red textured J. Brand bottoms with a loose white button-down at a Vallure Vodka event.

Down: Gladiator sandals. Dear Kourtney Kardashian: We hate to be the ones to break this to you, but it’s time to pack up your Stuart Weitzman gladiator sandals until next summer (or maybe forever?). Dust off your riding boots and favorite pumps. Fall is here. With Love, PeopleStyleWatch.com Editors.

This Week's Best Dressed Star is Also This Week's Most Affordably Dressed Star: Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson Ann TaylorKevin Mazur/WireImage

Tired of checking out the most loved look of the week then feeling disappointed that you’ll never be able to get your hands on what the celeb’s wearing? You’re in luck because the winner of the best dressed title this week is wearing a getup we can all afford: top-to-bottom Ann Taylor.

Kate Hudson beat out the feather-embellished dresses, dramatic gowns, trendy pantsuits and designer duds in Last Night’s Look to earn a notable over-90% approval rating, higher than any recent ensemble.

PHOTOS: See what other stars wore on the red carpet this week!

Clad entirely in duds from the mall store, Hudson selected a (faux) leather-trim jacket and color-block pencil skirt, plus studded pumps for the Clinton Global Initiative meeting in N.Y.C.

The face of the brand (yep, that would be Hudson) is certainly doing her job well, considering we all got the urge to run out to Ann Taylor after seeing this look.

Following not too far behind Hudson are two ladies in slightly pricer outfits: Elizabeth Hurley — in a hot-pink beaded Nicole Miller number — scored in the mid-80s, as did Celeb Style Council member Nikki Reed, who opted for a striped Lela Rose top, a Cameo mini and hot-pink heels.

Now let us know what you think about this week’s results. Does Hudson deserve the top spot? If not, who does?

Red Carpet Trend Report: The Scoop on Black and White, Velvet and Neon-on-Neon (in the Fall?!)

Single-sole pumps, platformsJohns PKI/Splash News Online

In our weekly roundup of the looks that are gaining fashion ground (and the ones losing their style street cred), we noticed black and white happening in a big way, velvet in unexpected pieces and one super-bright look that missed the mark.

Up: Black and White. This color palette keeps popping up on the red carpet. And this week, stars did the classic combo in a very chic, graphic way. Allison Williams led the pack in a colorblock halter gown at the Exploring the Arts Gala in N.Y.C. The most fashionable teen celeb in the biz, Hailee Steinfeld (okay she’s tied with Kiernan Shipka), wore geometric-print Thakoon Addition separates at an Ender’s Game photocall in London — a bold finish to her black-and-white promo tour style. And rounding out the group, Avril Lavigne threw us all for a loop in an unexpectedly restrained peplum colorblock Basler design at the Huading Image Awards in Macao, China.

Up: Velvet. The luxe fabric has slowly been gaining momentum in Hollywood (remember Connie Britton’s Naeem Khan Emmys dress?) and it appears it’s only going to become more popular. Our Celeb Style Council member Nikki Reed teamed her velvety navy topper with skinnies, a white top and bright-red pumps at the Swim for Relief benefit in N.Y.C. In the eveningwear department, Jennifer Lopez showed off her caliente curves in a burgundy velvet-paneled Zuhair Murad stunner at the Human Rights Campaign National Dinner in D.C. And stars even accessorized with the fall-ready fabric: Christina Hendricks wwore a forest green bejeweled headband and matching clutch at the Uno de 50 party in L.A., and Natasha Lyonne sported a blue velvet top-handle bag to the Exploring the Arts Gala in N.Y.C.

Down: Neon-on-Neon. Yes, Kristin Cavallari usually has spot-on style sense. (She just made our Love Her Outfit gallery for this awesome look we can’t wait to replicate!) That’s why we were surprised to see her step out in highlighter-bright separates at an ULTA and Breast Cancer Research Foundation event in Chicago. We’re all about supporting the cause in pink, but the star’s neon color combo is made for 90-degree days in the summer. (Plus the button-down blouse and flare-hem mini reminds us of something we wore to a college mixer.) We’re all for color, but it’s time to stow the neons and reach for richer hues.

The Spring Trends Our Celeb Style Council Can't Wait to Wear

We know it’s only the beginning of February, but we’re ready to ditch our puffers and cords for denim jackets and cutoffs. And we’re not the only ones. Our Style Council members are also looking forward to the warmer weather — and the clothing that comes with it. In our March issue (which hits stands Friday and is available now on tablet!), the style setters dish on what looks they can’t wait to incorporate in their spring wardrobes — and we have the exclusive scoop. Get ready for some serious fashion inspiration below.

Style Council Spring TrendsImeh Akpanudosen/Getty; Ben Gabbe/Getty

Kourtney Kardashian: “I think side-slit skirts are fun and kind of edgy, and I love when newer silhouettes come into style. I think they look fun with a tee tucked in or even untucked so the look can be more casual. I would do any shoes: heeled sandals, simple pumps or even flat booties.”

Naya Rivera: “Wide-leg trousers are a classic and chic silhouette that work with anything. You can wear them with a sexy silky tucked-in camisole and a pointed toe pump, or rock them with a fitted oxford for a menswear look.”

RELATED: We Tried It! Three of spring’s trickiest trends

Jamie Chung: “I love crop tops with the combo of high-waisted anything, because it shows off just a sliver of skin. I’m not a fan of showing off the midriff à la Jennifer Lopez circa 1999. Don’t get me wrong, she’s got a killer body and knows how to work it, but for those who are just warming up to showing off some stomach, the crop top is a good baby step towards that. Remember: just a sliver!”

Ashley Madekwe: “I’m very into leather pieces. Skirts, pants, jackets, overalls — you name it, I’ve tried it. I like to look for leather pieces in unusual textures, like patent or quilted. And midi length skirts are ladylike and chic. I wear mine with high heels to elongate my legs.”

Style Council Spring TrendsVenturelli/WireImage; Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty

Louise Roe: “Tribal prints have been going a while now, but this spring it’s about wearing them in neons and acid tones. Rebecca Minkoff and Mara Hoffman made my favorites. I just wore one of Mara’s spring prints to the MTV EMAs. Love her designs.”

Nikki Reed: “I’m getting very excited for spring, because of the metallic accessory trend. Super shiny metallics during the day mixed with more organic elements, such as brown sandals, is one of my favorite looks.”

Kristin Cavallari: “As a shoe designer, a pointy toe pump will still continue [to be in]. I think they are so classic and can be worn day or night with anything for a sophisticated look.”

Don’t forget to pick up our March issue on newsstands Friday (or tablet right now!) for more insight from our Style Council members. Which spring trends are you most excited to try? Share your thoughts below!

Valentine's Day-Perfect Jewelry: Celebs Show Their Love With Sparkle

We’ve already ordered our Valentine’s gifts for our loved ones (and put in our “requests” for the ones we want), but we wouldn’t mind making a little extra room in our jewelry box for something that has “Valentine’s Day” written all over it. We’re suckers for something sweet, and these celeb-loved sparklers are the perfect way to way your heart on your sleeve (well, neck, ears and fingers anyway).

Heart shaped jewelryMichael Simon/Startraks; Richard Shotwell Invision

Nikki Reed (left) attended Svedka’s Shot Through the Heart bash Tuesday night wearing perfectly on-message jewelry: a pair of $38 Lia Sophia “Lovefest” studs that have the word “Love” in script with a sparkling gemstone where the “O” should be. (She wore hers upside down and in her third piercing for a quirky touch.) And newlywed Kaley Cuoco makes her marital status known via a Lana Jewelry “Taken” necklace that she never takes off; hers is $830, though you could get a similar look (or gift a soon-to-be bride) with a $78 Kate Spade New York version.

Olivia Munn also gives a sweet shout-out via her jewelry, frequently wearing a $125 Lola James necklace inscribed with “Joel” for her longtime love Joel Kinnaman. (Cuoco also has a Lola James necklace that says “Kaley Hearts Ryan!”) Finally, Kiernan Shipka chooses a more low-key way to pay tribute to the holiday, choosing a feminine EF Collection diamond heart ring for $396, though this $14 Blu Bijoux ring has the same delicate vibe as well.

Red Carpet Trend Report: The Scoop on Snakeskin, Collared Dresses and the Need for a Fresh New Neckline

$

Trend report: snakeskin, collared dressesAngela Weiss/Getty (2); Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic

In our weekly roundup of the looks that are gaining fashion ground (and the ones losing their style street cred), we saw serpentine style, crisp collars and a neckline that’s just not picking up steam.

Up: Snakeskin. This look has been slithering its way onto the red carpet these past couple weeks, and our leading ladies are finding many different approaches to wearing the material. Nikki Reed (left) sports a cream sheath embossed in the glam print. Amy Adams also steps out in the style (literally) with a pair of nude python Christian Louboutin pumps while Kate Hudson wears an snakeprint white leather mini. Ashley Greene put our black skinnies to shame in her leather RTA ones – which were also, of course, on-trend.

Up: Collared Dresses. If you frequent our Last Night’s Look gallery, you’re well aware that the stars love menswear inspired fashion. This week, these looks caught our eye. Diane Kruger (center) coordinates with rumored fiancé Joshua Jackson in a gray collared dress. Nikki Reed not only modeled the snakeskin trend but this one as well — her stylist must own a crystal ball. Eva Mendes rocks the style in her polka dot shift while Kate Mara opts for a Peter Pan collar instead of the traditional pointed tips.

Down: Super-high Necklines. With spring right around the corner (we hope), it’s nearly time to put away the turtlenecks and flaunt a little décolletage. Though we love this embellished version on Eva Longoria, we’re betting fewer people will be covering up on the red carpet in coming weeks. Though it could still pop up here or there — we had a big debate over it in our Oscars gown prediction video — we don’t think the stars want to be stifling on the red carpet.

It's the First Weekend of Spring! Here's What to Wear

$

0

How should you celebrate the first weekend of spring? By throwing a going away party for your tights drawer. Okay, it’s not exactly that time yet, but it is time to bring out the self tanner and let your legs see the sun. So we rounded up three celeb-inspired looks to take you from a fun night out through Monday morning looking like a pro.

Shay Mitchell LBDD Dipasupil/Getty

Saturday night: After a long week, it’s exciting to dress up. Whether you have a date on the books or just want to get a little glam with friends, Shay Mitchell’s LBD screams, “It’s the weekend!”

Unless you want to shell out $520 for the Pretty Little Liars star’s Yeojin Bae lace mini, we think you should check out this way cheaper option — a Forever 21 bodycon number for under $25. You can even layer it with a leather jacket and pair with booties for a more dressed-down feel.

Reese Witherspoon dress, booties, hat
FameFlynet

Sunday brunch: Reese Witherspoon has been getting a lot of style play from us recently, because the actress keeps turning it out. And her latest look — a blue Isabel Marant dress, denim jacket and Rag & Bone booties — is super easy to steal.

Get a similar vibe with this blue drop-waist Lucky dress that you can wear from now through fall. And since Coachella is coming up, an easy way to share in the festival spirit (without the whole flower crown thing) is by sporting a fun wide-brim topper like this one from Urban Outfitters.

Nikki Reed animal print jacket
Araya Diaz/WireImage

Monday morning: No, we’re not suggesting you show up to work showing a slice of midriff. We really picked Nikki Reed’s look because of that awesome, spring-friendly leopard midi coat. Okay, and we wanted to give our Celeb Style Council member a special shoutout.

Want to recreate her look? (Yea, you do.) Then pair a similar topper (we have our eyes on this jacquard one from Anne Taylor) with some black trousers (Nikki’s are BlankNYC) and a coordinating top from your closet. Add a pop of color via some colorful pumps like this chic Chinese Laundry pair (now 20 percent off!). You’ll be starting off the week on a (style) high note.

Tell us: Which look will you wear this weekend?

Kourtney Kardashian, Kristin Cavallari, Ashley Madekwe and More Share the Best Style Advice Their Moms Ever Gave Them

Style Council Mother's Day AdvicePEOPLE.com Illustration By Debra Cartwright; Photo by Louise Roe

Our PEOPLE StyleWatch style council is made up of some seriously awesome women — but they can’t take all the credit for their good looks and killer fashion sense. For our May issue, in honor of Mother’s Day, the stars paid tribute to the women who gave them good genes and great style advice: their moms and grandmas. Below, check out the most memorable tips these stars got from their mothers, and share your favorite straight-from-mom tip below!

Style Council Mother's Day AdvicePEOPLE.com Illustration By Debra Cartwright; Photo by Kristin Cavallari

Kristin Cavallari‘s mom Judy isn’t just a moisturizer fanatic — she swears by thick, rich cocoa butter for her face. “She uses it every night and she’s been doing it for years.” Cavallari marvels. “She’s 60 and looks amazing.” Soon to be a second-time mom herself, Cavallari still follows her mom’s beauty advice to the letter. “Everything she’s told me from growing up still resonates with me,” she says. “The most recent thing is her telling me to use the cocoa butter, but for my belly.”

Style Council Mother's Day AdvicePEOPLE.com Illustration By Debra Cartwright; Photo by Kourtney Kardashian

Everyone knows Kourtney Kardashian‘s mom Kris Jenner, the remarkably well-preserved matriach of the famous Kardashian/Jenner clan. So her best advice to the eldest Kardashian sister won’t surprise you, and nor will Kourtney’s take on her mom’s, shall we say, general life oversight. “She is an advice machine. She’s always giving commands on what we need to do,” Kardashian shares. “She is bossy, but I love it and I love her advice. She was and still is so hands on and that has really been instilled in me as a mom.”

Style Council Mother's Day AdvicePEOPLE.com Illustration By Debra Cartwright; Photo by Ashley Madekwe

If you’re wondering where Ashley Madekwe’s great style and upbeat attitude comes from, you’re looking at her in the photo above. In addition to her “Be bold” mantra, she also instilled in Madekwe the belief that “Confidence is the best accessory a woman can have.” That great skin is genetic too: Madekwe says she’s been cleaning and moisturizing with Oil of Olay products for ages and still looks amazing.

Kelly Rowland takes style advice from all the women in her life. Says her mom, “Wear the clothes, don’t let the clothes wear you.” Her godmother’s input: “Never go to sleep with makeup on.” But the best advice came from her grandmother Ella Mae, who gave herself pep talks in the mirror. “I always heard my Gran Gran say she looked fabulous! She would put something on and just go,” Rowland shares, saying she follows the same philosophy now. “It doesn’t matter where I am, I just have to feel good.”

Style Council Mother's Day AdvicePEOPLE.com Illustration By Debra Cartwright; Photo by Nikki Reed

Nikki Reed’s mom Cheryl is also a moisturizer and sunscreen devotee (good habits get passed down!), but it’s Reed’s sweet memory of a mother/daughter shopping trip we loved the most. “I remember once we went to Forever 21 when I was younger and my mom picked out this blue corduroy blazer that I didn’t like, but she convinced me to buy,” she says. “I wore it to school and was the coolest person ever — I was the super cute girl that was ahead of her time! It’s her favorite story. She just has this classic style and it goes to show that … never goes out of fashion.”

Style Council Mother's Day AdvicePEOPLE.com Illustration By Debra Cartwright; Photo by Louise Roe

Louise Roe’s mom Christine has instilled two key values in her stylish daughter: “Never judge a book by its cover” and “Less is more” — especially when it comes to accessories and sun. For a no-sun-needed glow, Roe adheres to her mom’s advice. “Use two types of blush: A bronzer along the cheekbone and rosy blush on the apples of the cheeks,” she says. “I love my Mum so much, she’s my best friend. Just writing this makes me miss her!”

Style Council Mother's Day AdvicePEOPLE.com Illustration By Debra Cartwright; Photo by Naya Rivera

Naya Rivera is very much an independent woman, and that’s thanks to her strong, confident mom Yolanda. “You should know you should always be your own woman, have your own career,” Rivera says her mom told her. “No one you date or marry can define who you are: your own woman.” But for beauty advice, the tables are turned. “My mom has never used a moisturizer or fancy face wash – she has really great skin though!” says Rivera. “I’m actually the one that will give her beauty tips!”

Keri Russell Shows Some Leg to Nab This Week's Best Dressed Title

Who wears short shorts?! Keri Russell does — and her chic, leg-flaunting outfit received enough votes from our readers to win this week’s Best Dressed. Though the actress had some major competition on the Most Loved Looks list, her ensemble stuck out among the rest of the stem-baring beauties and landed her on top.

Katie Holmes Best DressedJoe Scarnici/FilmMagic

Russell sported an all-black ensemble with a flowing black blouse and matching high-waist shorts at the WonderCon event for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. She wore it with black pointed heels and her beauty look was simple: a soft pink lip and long brunette waves kept down and loose.

Coming in second place was another black ensemble: Nikki Reed in an LBD with coordinating Jimmy Choo heels and clutch. Other celebs donning dark looks this week were America Ferrera in J Brand trousers and a collared top and Olivia Wilde (showing off her baby bump one last time — congrats, mama!) in a sheer maxi dress.

RELATED PHOTOS: These stars are giving some serious outfit (and shopping!) inspiration

Another favorite look of ours (and yours!) included some more short shorts in the form of Olivia Munn’s navy Valentino romper. The piece is different from other designs with a tailored fit and front pleats (which is refreshing considering the typical onesies we see are loose and unstructured). But what really caught our attention were the fun yellow sandals with stripes and polka dots (see for yourself).

Contrasting the dark shades were Maggie Grace in a KaufmanFranco dress and our Celeb Style Council member, Cat Deeley, in a chic Alexander McQueen mini, both showing off their summer whites. And a special shout out goes to Leslie Mann for the brightest ensemble in a fuchsia bandeau top and poppy red ball skirt from Monique Lhuillier’s Spring 2014 collection.

Do you like all the dark looks this week or are you ready for some spring brights? Let us know who wore your favorite ensemble in the comments below!

Nikki Reed Goes Blonde

Breakover alert? A few days after filing for divorce from husband of two years Paul McDonald, actress Nikki Reed stepped out in West Hollywood, Calif. debuting a much-blonder look. But don’t add her to the “best breakovers ever” gallery just yet — the new hairdo is for a role in her upcoming film The Sunday Horse.

“Finishing touches. Less than a week away from filming #TheSundayHorse,” Reed captioned the below pic of her newly-tinted tresses on WhoSay. She snapped the photo from a seat in the Andy LeCompte salon (sound familiar? The hair color gurus are responsible for Nicole Richie’s recent purple transformation as well). The PEOPLE StyleWatch Celebrity Style Council member accented her lighter locks with a chic look of striped tee, blazer, jeans and red heels.

Her new locks are on the ombré side of blonde — much lighter than her standard chestnut color, but not quite Rosalie-in-Twilight blonde, which is probably for the best. After dyeing her hair for the first film, it began to fall out, leaving Reed to resort to wigs for the rest of the movies. Check out more photos of her newly-dyed hair in action:

Still Need a Halloween Costume? Get Inspired by These Star Looks, from Sexy to Fashion-Forward

There are two kinds of people in this world: Those who spend months planning and designing their Halloween costumes (hi Lauren Conrad!), and those who scramble to find something to wear an hour before heading to a party (most of the PEOPLE style team.) If you fall into the latter category and are desperate for some dress-up inspiration, here are three celeb-inspired ideas to consider.

Kate Hudson biker Halloween CostumeCourtesy Kate Hudson

If you want to go sexy (and have been spending a lot of time at the gym this year): Want to show off your abs? Let Kate Hudson be your Halloween spirit animal. The star (who must have crazy will power when it comes to Halloween candy) showed off her insanely-toned figure in a custom leather Sons of Anarchy themed look created by Hudson Jeans. And yes, her mom Goldie Hawn was also part of her biker gang at the family’s annual Halloween party. See Hudson’s sexy crew in the photo below. (And Kurt Sutter, we think you should consider a spinoff starring these ladies.)

If you have a wig laying around the house: Wearing some faux hair is the easiest way to feel festive. Ashley Madekwe has worn the same wig style (in three different colors) for the past few years. As for the costume, she loves to recycle cute clothes from her closet. A red polka dot dress for mini mouse, a white furry sweater and pencil skirt for a chic cat and a button-down shirtdress for a creepy, joker-style nurse (her choice this year).

If you’re feeling fashion-y: Throw on a great dress from your closet, a pair of heels and a fun lacy mask like Nikki Reed did Thursday at the Unicef masquerade ball.

If you want to dress like your favorite TV character: And if that favorite TV character happens to be Olivia Pope even better. Put on your best business casual look, throw a great bag on your arm and make sure to walk with a little more attitude. Now would also be a good time to finally go to the mall and buy a piece from The Limited’s Scandal collection, like this check trench coat Kerry Washington wore on Thursday’s episode.

Whose costume MO is your favorite? What are you wearing this year? Share your thoughts below.

It’s officially official — Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are engaged, and her ring is gorgeous … not to mention gigantic!

In exclusive photos obtained by PEOPLE, the actress, 26, was snapped kissing her new fiancé in Atlanta on Feb. 2.

We’re already starting to pick out wedding dresses for our Celeb Style Council member, but let’s talk about that rock first. This is the first time Reed has been seen with her (frankly, enormous!) ring. And she’s not wearing a classic, cushion-cut bauble. The sparkler is very unique featuring what looks like a round center diamond surrounded by smaller round diamonds for an antique, floral-cluster vibe. And of course Reed made sure to get the perfect pale-pink mani for her new bling’s big debut. Get an up-close look below.

First spotted together in July 2014, their relationship has been a whirlwind; just six months later, Somerhalder, 36, popped the question in January, PEOPLE confirmed.

Reed was previously married to American Idol alum Paul McDonald; their split was announced in March, and their divorce was finalized in early January. For his part, Somerhalder dated his Vampire Diaries costar Nina Dobrev for several years before splitting in May 2013.

“We have such an amazing future ahead of us,” Reed previously revealed to PEOPLE. “Anything we put our minds to will become a reality. I’m just excited for all those possibilities.”

What do you think of Reed’s unique engagement ring? Do you like flower vibe? What type of wedding dress should she wear? Share all your thoughts below.

Nikki Reed on Her Huge Engagement Ring: 'I Look at It Every Day and I Say, Wow'

If Nikki Reed‘s gorgeous engagement ring had your jaw on your desk this month, you’re not alone — the star herself is still pretty speechless about it!

“It’s so gorgeous, and I’m very lucky for many reasons, but I look at it every day and just think, Wow. I don’t even know what to say,” the actress told PEOPLE of her giant engagement ring Thursday at the Unstopables home fragrance collection launch in N.Y.C. “Is that not the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen in your whole life?”

The bride-to-be (she said “yes!” to boyfriend-turned-fiancé Ian Somerhalder in January) couldn’t help showing off the floral-inspired ring.

“I do this,” says Reed, 26, flashing the ring, “and then I glance at it again.”

Although she’s keeping the story behind the proposal private (“You’ve got to keep some things to yourself and have a moment”), the Twilight alum says she enjoys sharing her happiness with the Vampire Diaries star with fans and loved ones.

“Love is love, and people see it, and they feel it, and everyone’s really attracted to that idea,” she says. “As much as we want to expose as much of that as we can, we also just really want to keep some things for us and our family. You don’t have the opportunity to do that very much with what we do for a living, so we’re going to do our best.”

The private pair started dating this summer and got serious in the six months leading up to their impending nuptials. Both big animal lovers and advocates, Reed and Somerhalder already have quite the brood already, with two horses, four dogs and three cats.

The PEOPLE StyleWatch x Revolve Party (Featuring Nikki Reed, Bella Thorne and More) Was the Hottest Party at Coachella

In case you missed the memo (or steered clear of social media this weekend), Coachella happened — and lots of stars attended the Indio, California-based music festival. And along with the weekend-long music festivities, there were also tons of parties to attend, including our very own PEOPLE StyleWatch x Revolve get-together, featuring Nikki Reed, Bella Thorne (both PEOPLE StyleWatch Style Council members) and more celebs!

StyleWatch x Revolve Coachella event with Bella ThorneCourtesy PEOPLE StyleWatch

PEOPLE StyleWatch hosted its first-ever Coachella event to celebrate Reed’s brand-new capsule collection for Revolve, which features fun, flowy pieces (perfect for festivals!) like crop tops, tanks and more.

“I knew that [the collection] was going to be Coachella-themed in the sense that [it was like] light, summer, all that stuff, but the reason I was so excited it because I felt like it didn’t necessarily mean it had to be worn at a festival,” Reed told PEOPLE. “That’s how I love everything that I create hopefully, in general, will be very non-specific in that it can be, whether it’s jewelry or clothing, it doesn’t have to be for one specific occasion.”

Much like her collection, most of the pieces she wears during the weekend-long festival are great for mixing (and dual-purpose). “I always just layer,” she said. “My hats stay, I bring a giant scarf that can become a wrap or a blanket for the ground. I like multi-purpose functional.”

When attendees weren’t checking out the star’s new collaboration, the party included a number of stations to check out, including a DIY flower crown craft station (which Bella Thorne checked out), a festival-inspired braid bar by GLAMSQUAD and a live performance by singer/songwriter Jhené Aiko, along with DJ sets by Chelsea Leyland.
